This was our 7 cruise with RCCL. We have been thrilled with all but this last cruise. We traveled out of Miami, FL to Nassau, St. Thomas, San Juan, and Labadee, the RCCL private island. This cruise was not bad, just not the same thrill as the others. We are the kind of cruisers that love to see and do everything that is different from our everyday life. We love high energy and our cruises are usually not relaxing and low key by any means. We are always on the go, go, go. Our cruise on Voyager was quite a different experience. The entire ship did not have the high energy feel of others we have sailded on. The staff ALL looked and acted tired. We also heard from some staff members that the ship had had some moral problems and the captin was brought on to help rectify the problems. Our stateroom attendent said life was getting better with the new captain. She also told us that most of the staff was trying to transfer off to other ships and replacements were hard to find because of the problems and RCCL had stopped all transfers within the company to keep the ship staffed. It didn't sound like a good situation to us. We could feel the tension and tiredness as travelers. Another problem was with the daily activity schedule. Many of the activities were listed incorrectly. We tried to go ice skating at the listed time, as well as about 50 other passengers, and when we showed up at the printed time the rink was closed to general skating, only open for prearranged lessons. Same thing happened to SCUBA demonostation in the pool, cancled without announcement. We showed up and waited about 1/2 an hour before we located someone who had to go an locate personnel form the SeaTrek department. The land excurisions were great. We loved snorkeling in St. Thomas. Also, St. Thomas is a great place to buy jewlery. You can't miss that experience. All the ports were fun and we are glad we took this cruise. Hopefully others will have ha d a better onboard experience. I would probably do this same cruise again in a couple of years. Our best cruise ever was the Mexican Riviera. Will definately do that one again, and again our of Los Angeles.
