Royal Caribbean Cruisers' Discussion Group
Our History

In 1994, Royal Caribbean Cruises, Ltd., began an E-mail discussion group for experienced cruisers through their rccl.com domain name. The group outgrew the E-mail system and was discontinued by Royal Caribbean in March, 1997.Several members of the original group expressed an interest in continuing a discussion group in a format that was different from the first which involved often receiving more than fifty E-mails per day, many of which were personal messages to other group members. Lois Evensen put this page on line as a test at about 9 AM on March 31, 1997, to determine just how much interest there was in a web page discussion group. In the first 24 hours we received a tremendous response! What began as a temporary forum to decide if we wanted to communicate through a web page has produced a resounding YES!   That one page beginning has now grown into this web site of more than 200 pages.
We are happy to welcome several thousand visitors every day.  We have had visitors from Argentina, Australia, Austria, Bahamas, Bahrain, Belgium, Bermuda, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Croatia, Cuba, Czech Republic, Denmark, Dominican Republic, Estonia, Faroe Islands, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Jordon, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Mauritius, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russian Federation, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovak Republic , Slovenia, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, St. Lucia, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Trinidad and Tobago, Turkey, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States of America, Uruguay, and Venezuela.

We're glad you're here and hope you find the site informative and entertaining. We also hope you will contribute to the site by sharing your Royal Caribbean experiences on our Cruise Reviews, asking and answering cruising questions on our Postings Page, and/or listing your next Royal Caribbean cruise on our Cruisers' Cruise Calendar.
