Subject: Review - Explorer of the Seas - November 19 - 26, 2006

We took our two adult son's and their wives on the Explorer over Thanksgiving. What a wonderful ship with a fantastic crew. We had no wait at all to board the ship on Saturday and we were in our cabins by noon, giving us plenty of time to look around before we left port. Our room steward, Vilas gave us so much personnal attention it was hard to believe he had other cabins besides ours. Our waiter, Roy, in the dining room was great but we really appreciated the service by our bar server, Ian. What a great guy. The only fault I could find with the whole cruise was the young kids who were allowed to run around the ship unsupervised. And I do mean "run".. more than once we were almost knocked over as we tried to get off an elevator or go down stairs. I know RCI offers activities for young people and I believe many took advantage of them. It was the kids that were allowed to run up and down hallways, stairs and play in the elevators that drove us and other passengers crazy. All in all, we loved the ship, the crew, and our time spent on the Explorer of the Seas.

Cruise reviews can be extremely helpful to new and experienced cruisers by giving the cruise vacation consumer's view of various RCCL ships and ports. If you've sailed aboard an RCCL ship, we hope you'll write and tell us about it by using our special form here.  Sincere thanks to those who take the time to do this so that others can have the benefit of shared information and experiences.
