The day after we were married we set off on an Alaska cruise we flew to the balatyne pier and arrived in a limo it was lovely we were maybe in the waiting area 45 min then before we knew it we were on the ship we arrived to our room with a big congrats sign and balloons ,streamers and the romance package wich was approx 300.00 that we payed for of course but it was still nice to see when we got there .
I didnt care much for the canapes but hey I like (normal) food.
All in all our trip was fun we were in the love and marriage game show and it was a blast we recieved a video of it after along with a gift package we were also invited to attend an evening of free champagne and cake with other newlyweds and anniversaries it was very nice too.
The best part of this trip was the game called "quest" we were the stars of that game and won 1st prize along with another video of the event.Since they show all the happenings on the in room televisions all day everyone we met said we know you! we saw you! and congrats! it was like being famous or something.
Ok now for the not so good.......
our stateroom attendant was horrible our room was never cleaned, soap never replaced and we ran out of toilet paper and had to call at 10 pm for more it wasnt even out attendant that arrived with more .
she left food in our room the whole trip and didnt do anything untill the last night when she made her tip envelope very noticeable on our finally made bed.Not to mention it was out honeymoon and we had to build our own double bed and rearrage the night stand to do so along with an dirty sock under the bed along with a dirty blanket crammed right along with it .
Needless to say she was the pits.
Now to the pop card you can purchase BAH humbug on that .when you can actually use it is less often than not we would go to one place they would say sure,,then another would say no we only have cans here then go to the bar they say yes and pour it out of a can??? no idea how they work that all out but it was a rip off and not worth it at all .
Their rules on children was horrible where there was supposed to be adults only there were tons of noisy kids in the pools and running around at 10 pm and later no control I dont know who to blame but it really drove us crazy next time we are going to go when they are all in school there is nothing worse than being on your honeymoon to find the kids stole all the do not disturb signs off the doors and then have someone walk in.
The cleanliness of the ship was ok but could be alot better the bathrooms smelled of urine. All in all the most efficient staff were our waiter ,assistant waiter and the embarking staff we will go again however not on this ship
Happy Honeymoon!
