Fantastic! This was our first cruise. We didn't exactly know what to expect.  Now that we've experienced cruising....certainly will do it again. The ship was older, as I had read in some of the reivews, however very well maintained.  The stateroom was on the small side but very clean. I did not like the odors that come from the bathroom units though.  I loved having a window to peer out of when we arrived in CocoCay and Nassau.  Loved the sunrise over Nassau.  While in CocoCay we did some kayaking...first time for that too.  Was alot of fun and the blue water and white sand beaches were everything we expected it to be.  While in Nassau, we did the Dolphine Encounter.  That was a memory we will never forget. Interacting with the dolphin was very interesting!  Salty kisses, though!!! I wish we would have purchased a waterproof camera for this encounter...some really neat pictures would have come out of our brief visit with Shawn the Dolphin. The food served in the Gigi dining room was about average.  Nothing really fantastic as others I've heard about.  The shows were enjoyable. The weather while we were on the cruise was excellent.  Our next cruise will probably be next year...but on a newer ship.  For our first cruise the Sovereign of the Seas was an excellent choice.  Loved every minute of our time spent on her.

Cruise reviews can be extremely helpful to new and experienced cruisers by giving the cruise vacation consumer's view of various RCCL ships and ports. If you've sailed aboard an RCCL ship, we hope you'll write and tell us about it by using our special form here.  Sincere thanks to those who take the time to do this so that others can have the benefit of shared information and experiences.
