Let me say this is our 4th RCL Cruise. Of the four, this was our first disappointing. Once leaving the Vancouver airport we transported to the pier. Here's where we found much disorganization from RCL. We were in line after line..hour here hour there, given a small ticket with group 24 on it.
With this ticket we were grouped with other arbitrary ticket 24 passengers..hour here, hour there..our group finally called into a different area...hour here, there..then led to a different area and so onand so on...it took us approximately 4 hours to finally get on the ship.  It was not a great way to board ship. (Of course platinum members zoomed right through..those w/ 6 or more RCL cruises)

Room service, food/service were fine. Only pool available for most of cruise was in Solarium, due to weather,..this is for adults only, yet they opened it up occaisionally for kids..and very occaisionally..we had a hassle when our 14 year old son wanted to go for a swim at 8pm..no one at the Solarium or in pool and asked to leave twice. We had a problem with that as he paid full adult fare for cruise and was charged full adult fare for shore excursions..we were not at all happy with this. Though contacted head of passenger relations, never responded.

Bring warmish clothes, Hubbard Glacier was highlight. Would highly recommend opting in for additional $10.00 per person regarding departure and luggage. This $10.00 pp takes care of luggage the night before where you'll see it at final destination..no hassle getting it at departure airport.  This also allows you quicker disembarkation. Real time saver.

As a whole, we rate this cruise a 5 out of 10. We're not sure whether we'll continue to use RCL for future cruises. Any additional questions, please feel free to email me. Thank You. MSW
