Navigator of the Seas
Sail Date May 24th, 2003

Navigator is the fourth ship in the Voyager Class Ships, and she is just as beautiful as her sister ships, we had previously sailed on Explorer.
You can immediately see the differences RCL has made in the ships as Navigator and Explorer dock side by side at the Port of Miami on Saturday's, the balconies are more open and airy and gives the ship a more open look.

Walking through Navigator , which is an achievement considering her size you totally experience the decor through the extensive art work and styles that each area has. The dining room on Navigator is very classic in style and it was a pleasure to have our meals there.

We had booked a Category D9 room with a balcony, it was extremely spacious and the storage space more than enough for the week. The balcony is well worth the extra expense, to be able to walk straight from your room and hear the waves and the sounds of the ship as she sails is very relaxing.

The food selection was extensive. One new feature which we really enjoyed was Jade, this is a Asian buffet and everyday it features a different cuisine, we had lunch there everyday and it was so tasty and had very individual tastes, which I have always found lacking in all the Windjammer Cafes. The Jade buffet has been so popular on Navigator one of the staff told us it will be introduced to the other ships in due course.

The gym was quite extensive and the mineral pool inside the gym was a treat to relax in. The facilities were always well kept.

The Promenade area was very well used by passengers, the 24 hour cafe was always there for an additional desert or sandwich that we did not need but welcomed and also hot drinks.

I have been on six cruises 2 with Celebrity Cruise Lines and 4 with RCL and every experience is an individual one. The Voyager Class ships continue to amaze and draw you back to cruising...looking forward to Mariner of the Seas in December and also for the repositioning of Voyager to New York in 2004.

Cruise reviews can be extremely helpful to new and experienced cruisers by giving the cruise vacation consumer's view of various RCCL ships and ports. If you've sailed aboard an RCCL ship, we hope you'll write and tell us about it by using our special form here.  Sincere thanks to those who take the time to do this so that others can have the benefit of shared information and experiences.
