This was my 5th cruise, 2nd with Royal Caribbean.  We arrived early for embark and everything went smoothly.  Found out that if you purchase online from RCCL you get to board 2nd after Crown and Anchor Club members, before the rest of the passengers.

I was very impressed with the ship, it was nice and clean and everyone seemed friendly and helpful, guiding you to your room.  Our last cruise in November was on the Legend of the Seas, these ships are similar, so it was pretty easy to find our way around.  We had a room with a balcony on deck 7 at the back of the ship.  It was very nice and clean and very roomy.  The deck was large with 2 lounge chairs and 2 regular chairs and a small table.  On the Legend and on the Enchantment, we did not get the table assignments we requested and our travel agent was very good about relaying our request.  It seems there is some kind of mix up somewhere along the way.  They wouldn't need the maite D from 1:30-3:30 for table assignments, if they got it right the first time, we were able to get the table we wanted.

Our waiter, Anca, and assistant, Daniel, were very nice and as usual, learned our wants and needs and you never had to ask again, they had it ready and waiting.  We enjoyed the food in all areas of the ship.  We had breakfast everyday in the Windjammer and loved it, some don't like it that they don't change the variety, but I looked forward to the waffles everyday, something I don't do at home.  We ate lunch in both the Windjammer and the Solarium Hamburgers and Hot Dogs.  We had late afternoon snacks in the Windjammer and like the cookies and soft serve ice cream.  Did miss the ice cream cart they had in the solarium on the Legend.  You could get dipped ice cream from 11:00am until 7:00pm every day.  Very nice for ice cream lovers!

We even ordered room service and breakfast to eat on our balcony!  Very nice and food was equally as good as dining room.  My favorite was the midnight chocolate buffet!! One thing I enjoyed was they allowed you to take your midnight buffet food back to your room.  That was nice, you could really relax and eat alot of food before falling asleep! (haha)  I think we had more fun on this cruise than any other.  I think part of the credit goes to the cruise director, Ken Rush, and his staff.  Ken was very enthusiastic, really got you pumped up, and encouraged you to particpate in everything.  All I can say is go to everything, if you don't want to participate, watch, it's still fun.  The activities by the pool, Belly Flop and Sexy Legs,

Horseracing, were lots of fun.  Bingo, says it all, the shows on this ship were the best we have seen and had the best variety.  The production shows by the RCCL singers and dancers ran circles around the Legend and other ships.  We also had 2 comedians, a great magician, a ventriloquist, and a comdedian/juggler/unicylist.  We thoroughly enjoyed all.  The "game" shows were all good, Love and Marriage, The Quest, Trivia games and even the karaoke was a blast.  If you've never seen the Quest, don't miss it, it is hilarious.  I think we have learned, the more you get out and do, and talk "to strangers", the more fun you have.  I love talking to the crew and asking about where they are from and how their day goes working on the ship.  It is very interesting.

Debark went the smoothest, we had the a late flight and we were still off the ship by 9:00am and in a taxi by 9:30.  Over all experience was wonderful, nothing to complain about.  We have been on 3 Celebrity and 2 RCCL.  Always thought Celebrity was the best, and still do, the food might be a little better, but I think for me it is a little bit "stuffy".  RCCL was very nice, but just a little bit more fun, and I think people let their hair down more.  It could have just been the cruise we were on, but this was our best experience.  We're trying to figure out where our next itinerary will be, but we know it will be with RCCL.

Cruise reviews can be extremely helpful to new and experienced cruisers by giving the cruise vacation consumer's view of various RCCL ships and ports. If you've sailed aboard an RCCL ship, we hope you'll write and tell us about it by using our special form here.  Sincere thanks to those who take the time to do this so that others can have the benefit of shared information and experiences.
