This was our fifth cruise and first on Royal Caribbean.
Check-in went very fast and smooth.
The ship was beautiful and everything was immaculate.
Any staff we encountered were exceptionally friendly and helpful.
Our waiters, Pablo and Peter were superb!!
Our room steward, Rogie was excellent, cheerful and very helpful.
The food was excellent in both the Windjammer Cafe and the Minstrel
Dining room.
We most liked the comedian, Judy. She was hilarious and the acrobats from Australia were excellent.
The only complaint that I had on the entire cruise is that we paid a premium to have a balcony room and were not able to enjoy it as the people on both sides of us and below us were smokers and we could not even keep our balcony door open let alone sit on our balcony unless we wanted to smell cigarette smoke all the time.
I don't understand why the cruise lines don't put smokers separate from non-smokers. They should make one side totally non-smoking so that that we non-smokers can enjoy our balconies too.
If all non-smokers would complain about this then maybe the cruise lines would take more effort to separate the smokers and non-smokers and make it fair for us non-smokers so we can enjoy the balconies that we pay for to enjoy also.
Overall I would consider sailing RCCL again but I will definitely investigate a ship that takes care to separate the smokers or non-smokers if I ever book a balcony room again. I would choose a ship over another for that reason alone.
Hope this helps anyone that is considering booking a balcony room.
Sincerely,
Lynn
