My husband and I left Kansas City in the middle of an ice and snow storm and were really worried we wouldn't be able to get off the ground in time to make the cruise, but after 3 de-icings of the plane we were off!!! I was so excited, this was our first cruise! We were very grateful that we had to partake in the Muster Drill the first night on the ship, because on Thursday morning at 3:30 a.m., the Windjammer Cafe caught fire and we were awoken to the voice of the captain telling us to put on our life jackets and proceed to our Muster Station immediately. I was very impressed at the crew members though, they were all very professional and concerned for our well-being and made sure we all got out of our rooms and safe. It was a small fire in the oven so it really wasn't a big thing. Actually the very same day, a couple of small boys already had t-shirts made up, "I survived the Windjammer Cafe Fire, February Feb. 5th, 2004"!! The captain honored us by opening the bars for an hour or so, free of charge, so that made a lot of passengers very happy!

The crew members were fantastic everyday of the cruise and I for one was truly impressed by their attention to each passenger and their needs! I was heartbroken by a mistake of my own, and saddened to think somebody could be so heartless. I left my camera case on the ship the morning we disembarked. I realised it when we were already outside the ship and my husband tried to go back on board, but custom officers wouldn't allow it. I made a claim and called everyday for about 2 weeks before I fully understood that somebody picked up my camera and didn't turn it in to the crew. I really don't believe it was a crew member because their jobs depend on honesty and they value their jobs. I prayed somebody on the cruise would turn it in and that didn't happen.

Inside my camera case were 4 rolls of film that I took of my husband, mother-in-law, father-in-law and a couple we met in Nassua off the Fantasy Cruise ship. I had intended to send that couple a copy of the picture but now I can't do that, and because their address was in my case, I have no way to tell them. If you were on the Majesty Of The Seas on this cruise and found a camera case, I would love to get my camera back. The camera was a gift from my husband, but more importantly, the rolls of film were the story of my trip. I have absolutely nothing else to show or prove to anybody just how beautiful the ship, Nassau, CocoCay, or Key West was now, and that truly saddens me. I have left my name and Reservation ID number with RCCL just in case. I can't make anybody understand how important this is to me, my camera is my life. I was taking classes to really learn the full potential of my camera and really wanted to be able to "capture the moment" with it, now that won't happen because somebody kept it to themselves and didn't think of the person who left it behind or what the camera and film meant to "me"! . I "captured the moment" several times of the beautiful sunset, the beach of CocoCay, and more, and wish I could share them with you! If somebody took pictures of the sunset, or the ship, I would love to see them, please share them on this site for everybody to see. It truly was a breath taking sight to see!
